Milestone So Far

The Foundation has recorded the following milestones since its inception:

i. Two hundred thousand naira (N200,000.00) medical assistance to Rev. Fr. Paulinus Ike Ogara of the Catholic Diocese of Nsukka for a major surgery

ii. Facilitation of a N2.750M medical assistance to a two-year old, Emmanuella Eleojo Abu (Of St. Phillip and James Catholic Church, Idado, Lekki, Lagos).

iii. Award of education assistance to the tune of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000.00) only each to ten (10) qualified students in tertiary institutions. The beneficiaries were from Aku, Ukehe and Ede-Oballa (in Nsukka LGA). This has been accomplished for three sessions-2017/18, 2018/19 and 2019/20. The award would be renewed annually until the beneficiary graduates. JAF intends to increase the number of beneficiaries to fifteen (15) from the next academic session.

...vi. Medical assistance of N200,000.00 to Master Chidiomimi Ishienyi, seven months old baby who had a successful surgery for syndactyly (birth defect in which there is partial or total webbing connecting two or more fingers or toes) at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu.

v. Medical assistance of N150,000.00 to tricycle accident victim, Mr. Iroabuchi Ugwu, which was paid at Parklane Hospital, Enugu. vii. Medical assistance of N100,000.00 to a fire victim, Mrs. Patricia Ozor hospitalized at Bishop Shanahan Hospital, Enugu. Despite the assistance, Patricia died as a result of the fourth degree burns she had.

viii. Medical assistance of N200,000.00 to Ms Angela Attah of Ebokwe, Nua for laboratory tests in lieu of the visit of a team of doctors and nurses in collaboration with University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu.

ix. Spent over N7,000,000.00 for land acquisition and site preparation for a borehole for Nua Village community. (Personal expenditure by JAF President used to buy land that later became encumbered and also for site preparation for the land allocated by HRH Igwe James Chukwuka Eleamu in council and the Nua General Assembly).

x. Medical assistance of N200,000.00 to Mr. Charles Oyigbo of Umundikwu, Nua who has Glaucoma for an eye surgery called trabeculectomy at The Eye Specialist Hospital, Enugu.

xi. Medical assistance of N500,000.00 to Miss Isabella Dialoke, daughter of Engr Dialoke Chidozie who was diagnosed of cyanotic congenital heart disease and underwent open heart surgery and CT Cardiac angiography. We eventually lost the baby on January 14, 2020 during open heart surgery. So sad!

xii. Medical assistance of N200,000.00 Mrs Sunday Agu of Mgboko Aku who had been bedridden by severe arthritis for almost fifteen (15) years of marriage.

xii. On December 26, 2019, JAF members visited one Mr Ochike Romanus Ezike from Umu-Aroke Amadifioha, Umuezike Aku who was waylaid by assailants that chopped off his right hand. JAF gave him N20,000.00 to buy drugs and promised to give more assistance in due course.

xiv. On January 06, 2020 JAF approved the sum of N300,000.00 for Madam Juliana Ozor, a double amputee from Umugunyima village of Akpugo-Ezedike Town, Uzo-Uwani LGA of Enugu state. This amount was meant to offset the accumulated Hospital bills of the patient who was held captive Renaissance Hospital and Maternity Alor-Unor Road, Isiuja, Nsukka. The money will also assist them to pay for transport back home. Mrs Ozor is the mother of Rev. Sis Chidubem M. Ozor of the Benedictine (Word Incarnate) Monastery, Paschal Abbey, Nike Enugu.
