President/Founder of JAF and Chairman Board of Governors - Chief Marcel Ogbonna Amu (Onwa)

Chief Marcel Ogbonna Amu, a fellow of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) was born on August 9, 1963 at Aku, Igbo-Etiti Local Govt Area of Enugu State. He holds the prestigious traditional Ozor title of Onwanetirioraof Umundikwu/OnyagbadaOzor family in Nua, Aku town, Enugu. He also holds the title of Ikeoha 1 of Akutara-Enu Autonomous Community, Aku. Chief Amu, a renowned philanthropist, attended St. James’ Primary School, Aku and the famous St. Teresa’s College Nsukka (formerly University High School, Nsukka). He obtained B.Sc Hons in Applied Geophysics from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in 1987 and an MBA in 2000 from the University of Benin, Benin City.

Chief Ogbonna Amu is a recipient of Pope Benedict XVII commendation letter for his outstanding contribution to the Catholic Church. He is also a recipient of St Thomas Aquinas FUTO Catholic Chaplaincy Centenary award of service to the Catholic Church in Owerri Catholic Archdiocese.

Chief Amu, was the General Manager, Planning and Strategy at the National Petroleum Investment Management Services, NAPIMS (a subsidiary of NNPC). He was also the Managing Director/CEO of Integrated Data Services Ltd (a subsidiary of NNPC). Ikeoha Marcel Amu is the Founder/President of Janet Amu Foundation and Chairman of its Board of Governors. He is happily married to Lolo Ugodiya Obiageli, Ogbonna-Amu and the marriage is blessed with three wonderful children, Engr Kelechi, Barr.Chibuzo and Oluchi Ogbonna-Amu (RN).


Chairman Board of Trustees (BOT), JAF - John Igwebuike Agu

John Igwebuike Ifeanyichukwu Agu, JP was born on March 12, 1959. He was educated at Egbugwu Primary school, Adada secondary School and finally at the famous University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he obtained a B.Sc in Economics. He was employed by the then Anambra State Government as a Clerical Officer in February 1981 and retired meritoriously from the Civil service of Enugu state in February 12, 2016 as Permanent Secretary.

His last deployment was as Permanent Secretary and Chief Administrative Officer to the Executive Governor of Enugu State (Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi). John lives his life for others and enjoys community service with passion. He is happily married to Stella Ukamaka and the marriage is blessed with four children. He was appointed the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Janet Amu Foundation at its inception on December 31, 2017.


2nd Vice Chairman BOT, JAF - Lolo Obiageli Ogbonna-Amu (Ugodiya)

Lolo Ugodiya Obiageli Augustina Ogbonna-Amu is a graduate of Sociology from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She holds the traditional Ozor titles of OsodiEme and Ugodiya of Nua, Akutara Enu Autonomous Community of Aku Diewa. She was educated at Urban Primary School, Nsukka and Iheaka Girls’ Secondary School, Iheaka, Nsukka.

She is the MD/CEO of Tymarc Business Services. She is always passionate about alleviating the sufferings of the downtrodden.


1st Vice President, JAF - Engr. Kelechi Ogbonna-Amu

Engr. Marcel Jnr. Kelechi Chinedu Ogbonna-Amu is a agraduate of Chemical-Biomedical Engineering from the Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. He attended Agbeyegbe Model School, Word of Faith School and Our Lady of Apostles Private School all in Benin-City, Edo State, Nigeria. He did his higher school at the famous infant Jesus Academy Asaba where he emerged the best candidate in his Junior WAEC and went ahead to make distinction in his SSCE examination.

He is currently working with a media firm in Tallahasse, Florida, U.S.A.


Executive Secretary, JAF - Dr Ugah Tobias Ejiofor

Dr. Ugah Tobias Ejiofor hails from Aku in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State. Born in 1967, he attended Egbugwu Primary School and Boys' Secondary School, all in Aku where he obtained the First School Leaving and West African School Certificates respectively. Dr Ugah obtained his Bachelor of Sciences, Masters of Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) where he is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Statistics.

Prior to joining the services of UNN, Dr Ugah was a lecturer at both Nasarawa State University, Nasarawa State and Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State. In his earlier teaching carrier, Dr Ugah was a Mathematics teacher at the Premier Secondary School, Ukehe. His research interests are in the areas of Times Series and Statistical Inference. Dr Collins Ugah is happily married with children. He is the Executive Secretary, Janet Amu Foundation.


Member, Board of Trustees, JAF - Chief John Echibe Okechukwu

Chief Okechukwu John Ugwu (Echibe) is the second son as well as the second surviving child of Chief and Lolo Ogbonna Aninetugo Okechukwu of Onyagbada-Nua Village in Akutara-Enu Aku Autonomous Community in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.

He holds a Higher National Diploma in Dental Therapy and also he is a retiree of the Enugu State Hospitals Management Board. He is married with four children. He has penchant for helping people.


Member, Board of Trustees, JAF - Mr. Hyacinth Enyinna Amu

Mr Enyinna Amu attended the famous St. Teresa’s College Nsukka and Psychiatric School of Nursing, Federal Psychiatric Hospital Enugu. He is a registered Psychiatric Nurse. He has variously worked as Principal Nursing Officer in charge of community base clinic, Ogbede and in charge of Cottage Hospitals at Aku and Umulokpa.

He retired meritoriously from the Enugu State civil service and currently a business magnate and MD/CEO of Amson Best Timber Production, Aku. He is a member of Home Nurses Association and Treasurer, Building Technicians Association, Akuand Umuezeohaogota Family Aku. Enyinnaya is a member of Board of Trustees of Janet Amu Foundation (JAF). He is happily married with children.


Deputy Executive Sec., JAF - Mr Christopher Ovute Akubue

Mr Christopher Akubue, an advocate of equal right, an experienced tax expert, social scientist, prolific writer is a graduate of Political Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he graduated with honours. He is a member of the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON).

Chris retired meritoriously from the Enugu State Civil Service after putting in 35 years of hard work. He was the Secretary General, Nua General Assembly Federated and Palace Secretary, Ekutara Enu Autonomous Community and Director of Socials, Diewa Writers’ Club, the Publisher of the famous Okikpe magazines, Aku. Chris is happily married with children.


Member, Board of Trustees, JAF - Nwani Emmanuel Chinweuba, Ph.D

As an astute academic staff of the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State, Dr. Emmanuel Chinweuba, Nwani is committed to research development and artificial intelligence (AI).

Born in 1971 and raised in Atani, Enugu State, Emmanuel obtained his HND in Computer Science at Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu (1997); a post graduate diploma PGD (2001) and master of technology M.Tech in Information Technology at Federal University of Technology (FUTO), Owerri (2004). He also obtained a Bachelor of Science Education in Computer Science in 2010 at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), and finally a Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D in Computer Science at University Central Nicaragua in 2018. He has about twenty research papers to his credit and had published five journal papers across the globe.

Aside from being a lecturer, Emmanuel is also a publisher and a consultant in computer and information technology. He is happily married to Nnenna and the marriage is blessed with four children.


Member, Board of Trustees, JAF - HRH Igwe James Eleam

HRH Igwe James Eleam, Member BOT Igwe is a retired Civil Servant and the Traditional Ruler of Ekutara Enu Autonomous Community. He was educated at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.


2nd Vice President, JAF - Chibuzor Ogbonna-Amu

Master Raphael Chibuzor, Ogbonna-Amu is a graduate of Economics (Cum Laude) from the Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida U.S.A. where he graduated with honours. He earlier attended Phelim Primary School and Our Lady of Apostles Private School, Benin-City where he made a distinction in his First School Leaving Certificate Examination.

Chibuzor gained admission into the prestigious Infant Jesus Academy, Asaba and was one of the best in his class Junior School certificate Examination and adistinction in his Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination. He is currently aiming to study Law at the University of Florida, U.S.A. Chibuzor is also an academy football coach.


Member, Board of Governors, JAF - Dr. (Mrs) Ozoagu Amaka Amadi

Dr. (Mrs) Ozoagu Amaka Amadi, a member of JAF Board of Governors, is a Consultant Anaesthesiologist with Memfys Hospital for neurosurgery in Enugu and a Consultant Pain Physician and CEO of Sanella Pain clinic also in Enugu. Dr Amaka is a fellow of Institute of Policy Management Development of Nigeria. She is also a lecturer at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology and Ag. Director, International Partnership and Linkages in the University. Dr Amaka is a volunteer Pain Physician to National Orthopedics Hospital, Enugu.

Dr Amaka attended Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nnewi for her undergraduate medical training. Her junior residency training was at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu. She did her Senior Residency training at National Hospital, Abuja. Her fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management was at Daradia Pain Clinic in India.

Dr Amaka is married with two children. Her hobbies include swimming, reading and shopping.


Spiritual Director, JAF - Rev. Fr. Dr. Boniface Peter Enyiduru Amu

Rev. Fr. Dr. Boniface Peter Enyiduru Amu is Priest of the Catholic Diocese of Nsukka. He was born on 24th December, 1955 to the noble and royal family of late Papa Fidelis Akaneziligwe Igbokpuakunonu and Ezinne Christiana Ogonna Amu of Umundikwu in Aku , Igbo Etiti Local Govt. of Enugu State. He had his Primary and Secondary Education in St. James EgbugwuAku and Premier Secondary School Ukehe respectively. After his West Africa School Certificate Examination, he taught Literature and English Languages for eight months in Boys Secondary School, Aku as an auxiliary teacher before proceeding to St. John Cross Seminary Nsukka for his one-year orientation.

Rev. Fr. Boniface had his four years Philosophical and one-year theological studies in Bigard Memorial Seminary Ikot Ekpene and Enugu respectively. He concluded his theological studies in Fredrick Wilhelm's University, Bonn/Germany and was ordained a Priest on 24th December 1989 as the first indigenous Priest of Aku town. He also had his doctorate degree in Fundamental Theology in the same University with Magna Cum Laude. Fr. Boniface served in different capacities as Chaplain, Parish Priest, Diocesan Secretary etc. He has passion for teaching, sports and above all care for the poor in the society. Fr Boniface is the Spiritual Director and a member of Board of Governors of Janet Amu Foundation.

Member, Board of Trustees, JAF - Miss Oluchi Ogbonna-Amu

Miss Benedicta Oluchi Ogbonna-Amu is a Nursing undergraduate at the Tallahassee Community College, Tallahassee where she earlier obtained an associate of Arts (AA) in 2019. Oluchi attended Our Lady of Apostles Private School Benin-City and Infant Jesus Academy for her higher school.
