ODENYI PRINCESS ONYINYECHI; PHARMACY, UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA, NIGERIA

In 2019 I was offered two admissions one in Federal University (UNN) and another in school of Nursing Bishop Shanahan, Due to the fact that my twin brother got admission the same year with me in a State University, my parents were unable to train me in school of Nursing Bishop Shanahan which was my choice of study. l had to go to Federal University UNN but still things was not moving freely the way I expected, school fees keep on increasing every session, school demands became much especially in my department. l was not able to meet up with some demands.

My parents never had a lot but pooled their efforts together to make ends meet but since I got admission things were not going well for them; they were not financially buoyant. l got to know about this great foundation JANET AMU FOUNDATION (JAF) through a friend and applied for the scholarship, To the glory of God, my name was among the 22 successful shortlisted candidates among 99 candidates that applied for the scholarship. “Who am I that my lord has found worthy" So l am now a beneficiary of this great foundation.

This scholarship given to me worth one hundred thousand naira and will continue every session till l graduate, This scholarship will help my parents to avoid collecting loans that could take years to repay, it will also help to reduce my family financial burden.

Thank you Jesus, so I can now buy my practical manuals, materials and other expenses when the need arises. l can now focus on my education and put all my efforts into doing well in my classes, l can now pursue the main aim of what I came to school to do and make my dream come through.

I hope in turn one day l will be able to give back and help others achieve their goals. This scholarship won't only provide financial support, academic achievement but also invest to an individual who is eager to make a positive impact on the society.

Sir I really appreciate, my family and l can't even express how happy we are. We are grateful! Thank you for awarding me this scholarship. l promise to utilize this great opportunity given to me. Long live JAF.
