Ezea Mmaduabuchi Kingsley

My name is Ezea Mmaduabuchi Kingsley, I am physically challenged, I was born in the year 1989 and married with three children now. I am from Ogbonna ezea family of UmundiukwuNua, Aku in Igbo Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State. I am an Eckist, studying Physics and Astronomy at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Situation that led to JAF intervention in my education

I grained admission to study Physics and Astronomy in University of Nigeria, Nsukka in November 2016. After paying all that were required of me as a student by the University, to get food to eat became a problem. I depended on begging from my departmental mates throughout my first year in 2016. In my second year (2017), there was no money to pay for my school fees and other family conflicts which came up the same time. I did all I could do within my strength to see to the continuity of my academic programme and still resolve those conflicts but without success. That condition made me to lose one year of my academic programme. Then, I went back to my recharge card business to see if I could get money and continue in the later year being 2018. But all I could get was money for a daily square meal for me and my family. My father is late, and my mother is very old that she could not do anything to help the situation. The worst is that I don’t have uncle, Aunt, Nice, Nephew, Brother who is buoyant to help my situation. Things became too difficult for me. Oh! My God, it appeared to me as if God has made me gate man at the gate of hell.

One day, I sourced up Engr. Marcel Amu’s phone number in 2018. Honestly, I was afraid of calling him on phone. I asked myself how will I call a big, rich man who does not even know me on phone. It became another challenge to me. A time came up for me to choose between obituary and mortuary then I gathered courage to call him for my situation. I picked up my phone and called OnwaN’etirioha at a point the call went off due to my airtime insufficiency. He called me back immediately and told me to forward my account number on his phone, which I did, and he paid N30,000 into my account and told me to write a letter to JAF through the chairman and come for an interview.

Wow!!! What a faithful God, after the interview JAF started assisting me with N100,000 yearly for the continuity of my academic programme. And I have received N100,000 in 2018 and N100,000 in 2019. Then, because I lost one year (2017), I will graduate in 2021. To me, JAF is God’s own foundation. It is a foundation which God stood, planted to help the indigents. It is a foundation which has the interest of the poor and how to better up their future at heart.

Long Live OnwaN’etiriOha, Long Live JAF Board of Governors, Long live JAF Members. May the gentle soul of Janet Amu rest in perfect peace!!!. Amen!

JAF is the only educational assistance foundation that is known for transparency; the only foundation that doesn't discriminate. JAF is the best of it's type and the President/Founder of JAF is the most compassionate man I have ever seen.
